Thanks to the two pastry chefs from American Cruise Lines who made a special apple and honey plate for Susan Bye and my wife Cecile in honor of their Jewish heritage. Though apples and honey can be eaten throughout the Jewish holidays, they are almost always eaten together on the first night of Rosh Hashanah.
